For women mothering through perimenopause — and the strange, holy, exhausting overlap of becoming a mother and coming home to yourself, at the same time.

Women’s Well was built by two clinicians in two states — Dr. Amy Maher in Oregon and Erica Kafka, PA-C in Colorado.

Amy’s Oregon clinic is medicine, and everything medicine forgot to include. Erica is in the toddler-years-and-early-perimenopause overlap herself, holding the writing and the gatherings while she walks it.

Neither of us is on the other side of this passage. That matters.

The Sisterhood Circle is the gathering we have been building toward.

It is not a newsletter, exactly. It is a circle that meets in writing, in voice notes, in a monthly live Zoom for subscribers, and in the comments under each other’s stories. Women who are mothering young children while their bodies start doing things no one warned them about. Women who came up against the wall and decided to stop pretending they were not standing in front of it.

We publish weekly. The writing is from Amy, from Erica, and sometimes from the women in the circle. The research is real. The voice is conversational. The intent is to make you feel less alone — and more equipped — by the time you close the tab.

There are three doors here. Pick the one that opens for you.

The monthly masterclass.

Free, public, ninety minutes, live on Zoom. Amy and Erica together, on the questions women keep bringing them. Anyone can register — it is the wider on-ramp for women still deciding whether this work is for them. → womenswell.co/masterclass

The Sisterhood Circle.

This Substack. Subscribe below — free all summer — and you get weekly writing, the community thread, and a separate monthly Zoom that is the actual circle gathering. The link comes to your inbox the morning of every month. Bring your tea.

Amy’s Oregon clinic.

If you live in Oregon and want clinical care that takes you seriously — long appointments, integrative medicine, a doctor who has time to actually talk — Amy is taking new patients. → womenswell.co/clinic

The Sisterhood Circle is free through the summer of 2026.

The weekly writing. The monthly subscriber Zoom. The community thread. All of it.

We are doing it this way because the women we wrote this for need a low door. You can find us, sit with us, decide if this is a fit — without paying for the privilege of finding out. In the fall, paid tiers open. If you are subscribed by then, you will be the first to know, and the founding rate will be honored for as long as you stay. Stay connected.

In Fall 2026, two things shift.

The Sisterhood Circle moves to paid tiers — generous founding rates for anyone who has been with us through the summer.

And the Wisdom Circle opens. This is the deeper program — smaller, more structured, for women who want to walk the passage with consistent companionship and a year-long arc. We’ll write about it here when it is ready.

Our next retreat is in 2027, at a small property in Loveland, Colorado. Sunrise Ranch Center.

Four days. Twenty women. The kind of conversations you have not had since you were nineteen. Dates and registration will be announced here first, in this circle.

If any of this lands — if the 4:47 a.m. wake-ups and the dishwasher amnesia and the strange new edges of yourself feel like yours — you are welcome here.

Subscribe below. The next monthly Zoom is on the calendar. We will see you there.

— Amy and Erica

Every week, something lands in your inbox that was written for exactly where you are: the science of what your body is doing, the story that makes sense of it, and the teaching that bridges the two. Not information to consume. Recognition to receive.

Medicine and everything medicine left behind

You have been trying to figure this out alone. You don’t have to anymore. The Sisterhood Circle is where the full Women’s Well framework — perimenopause science, feminine archetypes, and the wisdom of women who have walked this passage — becomes knowledge you can actually use. We hold the teaching. You bring your questions. Something clarifies from there.
